URPoint Details
A busy little port on a headland protected by the ramparts of an ancient hill fort. Within the fortifications is the Roman Well which is neither Roman nor a well. It is a rock-cut chamber approached by a flight of steps at the bottom of which is a cistern surrounded by a ledge, and thought to be early Christian baptistery.
