From timber-framed Tudor cottages to Georgian brick and some lovely black-and-white farmhouses with narrow, winding streets make up this lovely village.
The church dates from the 14th century and has had many restorations the tower was added in the 16th century.
There are some interesting memorials one of them is to Sir George Beeston, born in the last year of the 15th century and lived to see the beginning of the 17th century. He fought in France with Henry VIIIs army and at aged 89 he commanded the Dreadnought in the battle against the Spanish Armada.
Bunbury Locks on the Chester Canal was built in 1770 to link Nantwich with Chester is twice the width of the narrow 7ft locks common to most of the British canal system.
