Also of interest are monastic farm buildings, craft workshops and country walks.
3½ acres of garden is largely a 20th century creation, with shrub and herb gardens and there is very old yew tree at the north of the abbey. The southwest elevation is wreathed in climbers, with the south elevation dominated by two vast magnolias. The irregularly shaped dwarf box-hedged beds contain over 50 different herbs.
