URPoint Details
A small town sitting in the River Brue valley which is crossed by a narrow packhorse bridge, called Bruton Bow with the Sexey Hospital dates from the 17th century and the Grammar School is 16th century.
The church chancel is 18th century there is a splendid perpendicular tower and also a smaller tower.
A three-storied dovecot on a hill above the town is all that remains of a 12th century priory.
