One of the most complete surviving examples of a Victorian country house. Brodsworth Hall was designed by a mysterious Italian architect, Chevalier Casentini, it was built, decorated, furnished and landscaped in the 1860\'s and has survived remarkably intact to this day.
The fine family rooms have an air of faded grandeur and the servants wing includes a remarkable example of an unaltered kitchen from the age of Mrs Beeton.
The Victorian gardens have variegated evergreen plants surrounding lawn rich in wild flowers and paths lead to interesting buildings, one of which houses a garden exhibition.
