All Saints Church, is like no other in Herefordshire, and indeed there can be few like it in England.
The ruins of the old church stand in the grounds of Brockhampton Court the new church, in a more public place, was built in 1901-02 by Mrs Alice Foster of the Court, in memory of her American parents. The architect was W. R. Lethaby, a leader of the Arts and Crafts movement founded by William Morris.
The church is thatched and has two towers a stone one over the crossing, and a timber belfry over the porch. The interior is very striking, with steep pointed arches rising from low walls the walls and arches are of stone, the vaults of concrete. The windows are of bold and original design. The church is full of works of remarkable craftsmanship in stone, wood, stained glass, tapestry and embroidery too numerous to list here, and worthy of careful and unhurried examination. There is a beautiful road from Brockhampton to Fownhope through woods dropping steeply to the Wye. Although All Saints church is early 20th century, it is a very impressive and interesting building, with exceptional workmanship and is one of only three thatched churches in the county.
