Car park exhibitions and shop. Joint ticket for all Orkney monuments. Disabled car parking about 200 yards from property. Most of the site is wheelchair accessible steps on the site can be avoided by keeping to grass slopes. The grass areas are mostly dry but assistance may be needed for some steeper slopes not advisable in wet weather. 3 inch step into ticket office/shop & exhibition area has a small step.
Surrounded by a warren of Iron Age buildings, this broch probably dates from the 1st century AD.
Vikings may have built the long house on top of the ruined broch.
