Church of All Saints is one of the county's finest Anglo-Saxon churches. Mostly original 7th century, it was built by the monks of Peterborough partly with re-used Roman material.. The church was damaged by the Danes and rebuilt in the 10th or 11th century. Later alterations have been made, but throughout, the basic Saxon core remains.
