Bristol - Church of St Thomas the Martyr

Thomas Lane, Bristol BS1 6JG

URPoint Details

The impressive 15th century west tower of the earlier church was kept when James Allen the Bristol architect designed and rebuilt the church between 1792 and 1793. It is a fine classical church and its east end is particularly handsome. The re-redos of 1716 and the west gallery of 1728-32 came from the previous church, the furnishings from the 18th century.
