Open daily all year. January to March & October to December 10am-5pm. April to September 10am-6pm. Disabled visitors free; guide dogs only. Shop and tearoom. 

The Royal Pavilion is on level ground, close to the Lanes and North Laine and only 5 minutes’ walk from the sea.

The building has two floors. The ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users, but access to the first floor is via a staircase only. Wheelchairs cannot be carried upstairs for use.

The exotic, bizarre eastern style palace of the Prince Regent, later George IV, built by Henry Holland in 1787 and rebuilt by Nash from 1815-20 with domes, minarets and chinese-style interiors. It is furnished with much of the original and contemporary fittings The Music Room has been restored as have the new Yellow Bow Room bedroom suites. The Pavilion gardens have also been returned to their original design and planting scheme.
