The view stretches across the Rother Valley and south to the coast.
Brightling Down stands at 646ft and has a monument to ‘Mad Jack’ Fuller, an ironmaster, squire and one time MP for Lewes who died in 1834. He built two domes, two needles and a pyramid which was built over his grave.
