The bridge at the county border on the moorland road from Tomintoul to Grantown-on-Spey to the south lies beautiful Glen Brown.
The Grantown road rises more than 1,400ft before descending to the wooded Strath Spey with spectacular views of the Cairngorms of which Ben Avon at 3,843ft is the more prominent.
