Saxon Chapel of St Peter-at-the-wall built in AD 654, is one of the oldest churches in England, and a Grade I listed building. The nave is all that remains of the Roman church. The chapel was built by St Cedd and his followers as a cathedral church and a base for the re-introduction of Christianity to East Anglia.
