Country Park Shop: April to October, Wednesday & Thursday 1-5pm, Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday & Tuesday 1-6pm (or dusk). November to March, Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holiday Monday & Tuesday 1-5pm (or dusk). Open Park & Wood: to pedestrians only, daily. Open House: April to October, every Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 2.30-5pm, Sunday 10am-12.30pm. Admission to park and ruins free. Disabled facilities: access to shop, ground floor of Visitors Centre and some parts of the Country Park specially adapted toilets.
Comprehensive Visitor Centre with displays of the birthplace of Lady Jane Grey (Nine days Queen of England), ruins of Bradgate House, Old John Tower (once a hunting tower), history of Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood, the Park's geology, flora and fauna. Situated in 859 acres of parkland with deer herds.
