Known as ‘the City where wool means wealth’, this is Bradford’s legacy.
Although there were rows of slums here surrounding the old wool mills, there are some fine buildings including the City Hall built in 1873.
The Wool Exchange dates from 1864 and St Georges Hall is one of oldest dating from 1851.
