St Botolph’s Church by the side of the manor has a 15th century tower with a pyramid roof holding two of England’s oldest bells.
The nave and the doorway were both built in 1100. The richly carved lintel and pillars hold a simple tympanum within which is the figure of St Botolph adorned with flying swans and a model of the church.
The massive wall monument to Charles West has a life-sized 17th century figures and a cherub’s head at each corner of the tomb.
Benjamin Disraeli is buried in the churchyard.
