URPoint Details
A lively village centred round the Cross Keys village green named after the public house that stood on the site, is used for a number of local events during the summer. The village's shoe trade dates back to the mid-17th century, after a sharp decline, it has started up once again.
Remains of the earliest settlement which date from Saxon times have been found, and three of the four original school buildings are still standing.
