This lovely town is an ideal base for touring eastern Dartmoor, and with Yarner Wood Nature Reserve to the west.
Cromwell Arch is part of the former priory, with a restored stone Cross and a Decorated and Perpendicular Church of St Thomas a Becket has a fine screen and pulpit.
