Boswell Farm Cottages - Sidford

Boswell Farm was built in the 17th century but the site dates back to pre-Norman times, 'Boswell' being mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. About 1860, Boswell became a working farm and still is today, with many of the original buildings and features intact. The farm nestles alongside the Snod (medieval word meaning pretty) brook in secluded Sweetcombe Valley. There are beautiful views across timeless landscape including the valley with its woods and the little Devon fields that climb its slopes. Here is abundance of wildlife including badgers, deer, buzzards and kingfisher to name but a few. The farm animals - chickens, geese and goats, with sheep and South Devon Red cattle grazing nearby. The cottages are very well quipped and lovingly furnished, both Woodcroft and Mill House have payphones, they all have microwaves, night storage and wall panel heating and gardens. Video recorders are available to hire. There is a tennis court and trout pond stocked with Rainbow trout and 45 acres of farmland to explore.
