URPoint Details
Harold the Saxon was here and sailed to Normandy which unfortunately delivered him straight into the waiting hands of William of Orange.
The cottages are charming in their soft colours and stand on a peninsula between two tidal creeks, and the church, partly Saxon has a fine Norman font.
Location: 4 miles west of Chichester
The Church of the Holy Trinity is partly Saxon and still retains its magnificent tall chancel arch, and a pre-Conquest tower with a later spire. There is a fine Norman octagonal font and in the chancel is a 13th century recessed tomb with the figure of a young girl.
