URPoint Details
The Church of St Andrew is of Saxon origin and some Saxon work still remains. It has a Norman tower but after the first 15 feet there is an arch which is made of Roman brick, and is unique in Essex as it the only church with a central tower.
The nave and aisles are unusual in shape and the chancel is narrow, with the 16th century Sussex Chapel which contains the triple monument to the three Earls of Sussex of 1542, 1567 and 1583
