Special exhibitions, educational programme, children's activities, research facilities and museum shop. Guide dogs only. Suitable for disabled visitors.

Over half a million exhibits and specimens from the extraordinary to the exotic, the fascinating to the fabulous, dating back over three centuries, are packed into this museum. Originally built to house Mr Booth's amazing collection of stuffed birds, hundreds of British birds are displayed in re-created natural setting, plus insects from butterflies to beetles, and skeletons from a kangaroo to a killer whale! And add to this dinosaurs, minerals and crystals including the renowned Russian amber collection, and much more, and you have something for every age and interest.
