URPoint Details
White limestone blended with red brick gives a pleasant dappled effect. The Percy of the village name comes from William de Percy, lord of the manor in 1086.
The 15th century Church of All Saints has some lovely medieval stained glass in the east window and includes the coat of Arms of Richard Scrope, Archbishop of York, who joined with the Percy family in a plot to overthrow Henry IV.
