The Roman fortification stretched from Bo'ness on the Forth to Old Kirkpatrick on the Clyde, and built about 142-3 AD, and consisted of a turf rampart behind a ditch, with forts about every two miles.
It was probably abandoned around 163AD. Remains are best preserved in the Falkirk/Bonnybridge area.
