Bluntisham stands north-east of St Ives close to the Great Ouse and bordered on the one side by fens and on the other by orchards.
It is a large and attractive place with a medieval church built of local brown cobbles a highly Gothicised Baptist chapel and recreational amenities that include both church and school halls, the latter of quite a size.
The old Rectory on the main road dates from 1720 and was once home to Dorothy Sayers the writer.
A congenial setting for a drink or two is the cosy bar or the pleasant garden of The White Swan, a delightful country pub.
