Registered Carers travel for free when accompanying any registered disabled passenger during normal service running days. A charge will apply for Special Events. All stations from the car parks are on one level and do not have steps; operational carriages can accommodate wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome at the Bluebell Railway on our standard travel services.
9 miles of standard gauge track with Vintage Steam trains between Sheffield Park and Kingscote. No parking at Kingscote: access is by special bus service from and to East Grinstead station connecting with trains from and to London etc. Intermediate station at Horsted Keynes has a large picnic field and car park. Sheffield Park, situated on the A275, between Lewes and East Grinstead, has parking for coaches and cars. Established in 1960 as a living museum of the steam age, the railway has acquired the largest collection of vintage locomotives in the south dating from 1872. Restaurant, shop, Pullman dining trains (with optional overnight sleeping accommodation) run most Saturdays. In Spring, the banks of the railway are ablaze with bluebells, from which the line takes its name.
