The Park is free. Dogs on leads in park and picnic area only guide dogs admitted restaurant shop baby slings available.
Disabled designated parking area near Hall entrance. Garden: gravel paths Formal garden on one level, route available avoiding steps to landscaped parts. Shop: in east wing with ramp. Park: mostly agricultural and not suitable for wheelchairs roadway is rough no cars admitted. Adapted WC for women at north end of east wing adapted unisex WCs at Exhibition Barn in main car park and in farm building in designated parking area. Tearoom in the east wing ramp to tearoom thick handled cutlery available. Wheelchair access to grounds motorised buggy available.
The landscaped gardens are not as formal as they were in the 17th century but are delightful and the parkland offers fantastic walks.
The Victorian sunken garden, remodelled by Norah Lindsay in the 1930s, consisting of four colourful herbaceous beds and yew topiary around the 17th century fountain. The formal wilderness garden with radial walks lined by avenues of Turkey oak, lime and beech.
