Blackhouse, (HES) - Isle of Lewis

Disabled parking 50 yards from property disabled visitors may be set down nearer the Black House. With the exception of the rear is wheelchair accessible. The door allowing access to the rear is not wide enough to allow wheelchair users through, however it is accessible to more ambulant disabled visitors.

A traditional Lewis thatched house, fully furnished, complete with attached barn, byre and stockyard.

A peat fire burns in the open hearth with the smoke filtering out through the roof.
