URPoint Details
Holy Trinity Church (Churches Conservation Trust), built between 1837 and 1846 by Edmund Sharpe, the church is a handsome Gothic building, standing in somewhat splendid isolation on Mount Pleasant, with a back drop of high rise flats. Inside the church is impressive, with tall, thin windows of great elegance in the chancel and transepts. Its special glory is the flat timber ceiling with a series of eighty painted heraldic panels, mostly commemorating families who contributed to the construction of the church.
