Bishop's Castle

Bishop's Castle , England

URPoint Details

In 1127, the Bishop of Hereford built a castle to protect his sheep from Welsh raiders. Unfortunately there are only a few stones remaining around the bowling-green.

There are there three houses of historic interest in town and all are Tudor – Blunden Hall, Old Market Hall and the House on Crutches, and the Three Tuns Inn is 17th century.
