URPoint Details
The village sits on Chichester harbour and attracts yachtsmen, artists and anglers.
The painter Turner discovered this delightful place and he painted the harbour and it now hangs in Petworth House.
The parish church was built in 1545 and has a long narrow door and legend has it that this is where the devil was kicked out. It was then blocked up, so that he could not get in again.
