URPoint Details
A village surrounded by magnificent rocky scenery. Beyond the village inn The Druid are Row Tor rocks which include two ‘rocking stones’ one of which is estimated to weigh 50tons.
An 18th century clergyman, Thomas Eyre, carved some of the rocks into seats.
Just south of the village are two grit-stone pinnacles separated by a 20yard gap known locally as Robin Hood’s Stride.
