or Follow the path out as far as the town by-pass, cross the river via the bridge and return on the Tweedmouth bank, a walk of approx 4 miles. Continue along the South side of the river into Berwick countryside along the Tweed valley. With small detours it is possible to reach Horncliffe, Norham and at Cornhill-on-Tweed, the Scottish Border.
