An island in Loch Raog, joined to the mainland of Lewis by a road bridge.
The waters are a rich source of lobsters.
Gallan Head, a bleak moorland promontory looks out over 20 miles of sea to the Flannan Isles.
A lighthouse was built on the islands in 1900 and during a gale soon afterwards all three light-house keepers on duty vanished.
