This historic estate has been in existence since the 1630s, making it one of the oldest in the north of Ireland. It has been in the Montgomery family since 1798 and most of the landscaping and planting was carried out by them between 1800 and 1820. The Walled Garden appears on a map dated 1788. The cobbled Stable Yard is an unusual diamond-shape and contains the stables, coach houses and cart houses.
