Distances within grounds are considerable visitors with impaired mobility are advised to use wheelchairs no dogs allowed guide dogs admitted.

John Bourchier built this imposing Georgian hall in 1716, and has been beautifully restored set in 365 acres, contains exquisite carving, over 100 pictures on loan from National Portrait Gallery, an impressive cantilevered staircase, furniture and porcelain.
There is a servants exhibition and a well-equipped Victorian laundry.
