URPoint Details
A neat and quiet village situated on the banks of the River Bela, with grey-stone cottages and cobbled forecourts. The Church dates from the 19th century and stands on the site of an earlier one. The north wall is unusual in having a stained-glass window in which St Oswald and St Alban flank Charles I, who is described as a martyr. During restoration work at the base of a pillar in the 19th century, coins dating from Edward the Confessor were discovered.
