Beeston Castle, (EH), between Tarporley and Congleton, off A49 near Beeston, 3m SW of Tarporley, 11m SE of Chester. Open all year daily; April to October 10am-6pm. November to March 10am-4pm. Closed Christmas and New Years Day. Small admission charge.

Disabled car park is across a minor road; inclined approach and cobbled surface. Access to visitors centre & shop is stepped or ramped access; the designated entrance for wheelchair users is through the exit door. The castle is approached via a very long, steep and uneven track and steep moat bridge, with uneven raised surface into castle; uneven grassy floor within; wheelchair users may need assistance. Toilets are close to the visitor centre; standard ladies and gents cubicles.

Standing majestically on sheer, rocky crags which fall sharply away from the castle walls, Beeston has possibly the best views of the surrounding countryside of any castle in England and the rock has a history stretching back over 2,500 years.
