URPoint Details
A small village tucked into the Downs just off the Newbury to Oxford road. Beedon groups around its 13th century church and is an excellent example of the beginnings of early English architecture. To the North is the early l8th century manor house whilst over towards Stanmore, on the open downs, is a large round barrow over seven feet high and said to date from l600 BC.
