Bedford Riverside Walks

There are 3 wonderful circular walks along the banks of the river Ouse.
Route 1. 5 or 6 miles takes about
1ﾽ to 3 hours. Starting from Prebend Street Bridge to Kempston Mill passing through beautiful
countryside. Moderate going with hard paths and farm tracks, suitable for pushchairs.

Route 2. 2 miles takes about 1 to 1ﾽ hours. Starting from the Town Bridge, along the riverside, past the embankment gardens. Easy going with hard paths and suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Route 3. 3 to 4 miles takes about 1ﾽ to 3ﾽ hours. Starting from the Suspension Bridge, across the south bank to Cardington Lock and returns through Priory Country Park along the north side of the river. Moderate going with hard paths and grassy tracks, suitable for pushchairs.
