Suitable for disabled visitors ramped level wheelchair access WC. Many paths and walks are firm and wheelchair accessible grass cut short in some areas seats and picnic tables.
The Park offers 200 acres of open space including lakes, grassland and trees where the River Ouse surrounds the park.
The lake is a 68 acre former gravel pit, landscaped with shrubs and low trees as a habitat for the wildlife. There are self guided and seasonal brochures produced with information on what to look out for in the park.
This is a very environmental preserved park and the Visitors Centre has a very interesting programme of events and courses held throughout the year.
Water sports offered include sailing, sail boarding, canoeing and fishing is also available
The park is ideal for both beginners and experienced anglers. The lake is shallow and special swims are available for wheelchair users and special needs groups. This first class fishery system is operated on a day ticket system and the lake is patrolled by wardens who care for the bream, roach and perch. The fishing season closes mid March to mid June. Tickets are available from the Warden.
