A former cloth weaving village with some fine stone-built houses and Beckington Castle is Tudor.
The church has a Norman tower and has a rare Coat of Arms of Elizabeth I dated 1574 carved in stone.
To the northeast is Seymour’s Court farm with its gabled porch, formerly the home of Protector Somerset.
