Open April to end October: Sunday to Thursday (closed Friday and Saturday except Good Friday) 10.30am-4.30pm. Last admission 4pm. Admission charge by timed ticket. Car and coach parking in town; not suitable for wheelchairs, baby back-packs or pushchairs; braille guide.
Annually changing exhibition of Beatrix Potter's original illustrations from her children's story books.
The building was once the office of her husband, the solicitor William Heelis, and the interior remains largely unaltered since his day.
