Open April to end October, daily 10am-6pm. Admission charge. Dogs on leads only.
Disabled parking 25m from entrance via loose gravel, slopes and rough grass. Access to Abbey and grounds via one step up into shop; alternative side gate into grounds with no steps; most of abbey is accessible to wheelchair users except upper floor of Dower House. Grounds accessible on fairly smooth grass and loose gravel, avoiding slopes; pushers needed; some benches provided; (note) unfenced sump in grounds; adapted unisex WC with level access; exhibition on ground floor, accessible to wheelchair users (one step); shop access via gravel path.
These riverside ruins are of a house of 'white' canons, found around 1208 and preserved in the 18th century, when its surroundings were landscaped to create the delightful setting in which you will find the ruins.
