The largest antique centre in Essex has more than 80 dealers. You can sit on the river wall and watch furniture, bric-a-brac, paintings, brass and hundreds of other items arrive by the car load. It is for the buyer to hunt out the bargains amongst this array of collectables. Cromwell House is one of the earliest buildings to have had poured cement used about the turn of the century houses more than 25 of the dealers.

The Haybarn dates back to 1550 is a thriving Antique Centre.

Bridgebarn is yet another historical building dating from the 17th century, and still retains some fine oak beams. It now houses antiques and a small "penny arcade" complete with working model roundabout and fortune teller.
