Disabled parking close to the mill with ramp to reception and main building. By arrangement, disabled visitors may alight from cars outside the mill. Wheelchair access to both basement and ground floors to view the milling process and exhibition. Gravel paths give wheelchair access to the grounds around the mill including the water-wheel.
Records show that a mill has occupied this site since at least 1539.
The present building was rebuilt in 1814 following a fire.
Barry Mill was the last water-powered meal mill to work in Angus, producing oatmeal until the late 1970's and animal feed until 1982.
