URPoint Details
A remote village on the River Duisk once a thriving stage coach post on the road from Girvan to Newton Stewart.
Two roads meet here and then take a separate path across the lonely moors merging again outside Newton Stewart.
The more northerly one crosses the fringe of the Galloway Forest Park while the other ascends to three high mountain lochs Dornal, Ochiltree and Maberry.
