Barnet - London

This borough includes some of London’s attractive residential areas including Totteridge and Mill Hill high on its green ridge with its old weather-boarded houses.
There are pleasant walks on the semi-wild Hadley Common. The common’s woodland stretch nearly 2 miles from Monken Hadley in the west to Cockfosters in the east.
Hadley Green, at Monken Hadley is surrounded by 18th century houses and cottages. An obelisk on the green dates from 1740 and marks the site of the Yorkist victory in 1471 at the Battle of Barnet.
