A little market town on the River Bathern with Georgian houses and a churchyard with two magnificent Yew trees reputedly about 500 years old.
In the churchyard is a curious gravestone with an inscription and dated 1776.
The chain bridge over the River Exe about a mile and a half away is a charming old iron bridge.
