URPoint Details
Bacton Church of St Faith dates from the 13th century with an unusual feature that it has a monument to Blanche Parry a local girl who was Queen Elizabeth I maid of honour, and who may have made the exquisite 300-year-old altar cloth. She is shown kneeling before the Queen. The inscription reads ‘Allwaye wythe maeden queene a maede did ende my life’.
